NPS America Year End Recognition Awards

For M&M and British Riding Ponies

This program is designed to recognize the participation and success of M&M and BRPs in a wide variety of equestrian disciplines. This program allows the ponies to "shine" in their chosen profession and express their unique individuality. Each discipline will have its own Affiliation requirements, point accumulation and required award totals. The details of the current programs are listed below.

Please note: If you would like to add a discipline that is not currently represented, please contact the Secretary.

 

IN-HAND

Designed to recognize success in In-hand competitions. These could include, but are not limited to, local shows or county/state fairs, dressage or young event horse competitions and Breed specific shows (ACPS, FPSNA, WPCSA, etc.). Breed specific shows will be considered recognized competitions for the purpose of accumulating points for In-hand Recognition Awards. (Show Secretary to sign form)

CARRIAGE DRIVING AND PLEASURE SHOWS

Designed to recognize success in pleasure driving and driven dressage shows. These could include, but are not limited to, carriage driving classes at state fairs, breed shows or ADS sanctioned shows. Classes eligible include Pleasure Driving, Carriage Driving, Turnout, Ladies or Gentlemen to Drive and Obstacle classes as well as driven dressage classes. (Show Secretary to sign form).

Designed to recognize success in Combined Driving Events, Horse Driving Trials, and Arena Driving Trials. (Show Secretary to sign form).

The following additional points are available for results at ADS sanctioned events:
5 points for finishing at Training level
10 points for finishing at Preliminary level
15 points for finishing at Intermediate level
20 points for finishing at Advanced level

PUBLIC EXPOSITIONS

Designed to recognize success in public events that show the versatility of M&M and BRP ponies and create awareness and excitement of the M&M and BRP breeds. These events will include but are not limited to parades, horse expos, fundraisers, and other festivals. At this time, requests for this discipline will be taken on the honor system.

Recognized vs. Unrecognized Competitions

Recognized Competitions are those sanctioned by the following national organizations:

ADS – American Driving Society
USEF – United States Equestrian Federation
USDF – United States Dressage Federation
USEA – United States Eventing Association
USPC – United States Pony Club

In addition, individual breed society affiliations include, but are not limited to those noted on the NPS America Breed Society Listing.
