Report by NPS America Council Member Caroline Nesbitt
The fledgling NPS America, the first international chapter of the National Pony Society in the United Kingdom (www.npsamerica.org), sponsored championship ribbons for the Mountain & Moorland pony classes. It was gratifying to have six M&M's turn up on the day, competing in both their own in-hand classes and in every open division the show offers, from driving to pleasure to trail, costume, and hunter. The big winners were full brothers Canadale Challenger and Canadale Sepoy Scout, Dales Pony geldings owned and shown by the mother/daughter team of Amy Barton and Morgan Fayey. We certainly hope that this year's showing is just the beginning for M&M showing opportunities in Vermont. Special thanks go out to all the Connemara folks in Region I and Marcy Baer of Briar Hill Farm for helping to organize the M&M classes at this event.
